Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Valora ("Valora," "we," "us," or "our") collects through the website at valorahq.com (the "Site"), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. The Site is directed at users located in the United States and is operated under United States law.

Information you give us

• Contact form. When you contact us, we collect the information you submit, typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
• Readiness check. The readiness check is powered by Google Forms. The answers you choose to provide, which may include details about your financial situation and goals, are submitted to Google and then stored in an internal spreadsheet we use to respond to you and, where you ask, to suggest advisor matches. Google's own privacy policy applies to its handling of the form.
• Email. If you email us, we keep your address and correspondence.

Please do not send us highly sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, account numbers, or passwords. The Site is not designed to receive them.

Information collected automatically

We use PostHog, an analytics product, on every page of the Site. PostHog collects standard usage data: pages viewed, interactions (such as clicks and form starts), referring pages, approximate geographic location derived from your IP address, and device and browser characteristics. PostHog identifies returning visitors using a first-party cookie and/or your browser's local storage. Our Cookie and Analytics Notice has the details, including how to opt out.

Visitor identification (RB2B). We use RB2B, a business-to-business visitor identification service, on the Site. RB2B may infer the company behind a visit and may process data capable of identifying individual people; what is shown to us depends on our plan. RB2B identifies business contacts using its own contributor database and sets its own third-party identifier. Its handling of that data, including how to opt out of its database, is described in RB2B's privacy policy.

What we do not collect

The Site has no user accounts and no passwords, processes no payments, and carries no advertising. We do not collect payment card data, and we do not run advertising or retargeting trackers. We do not buy lists of personal information about individual visitors. For business visitor identification we use RB2B, which identifies business contacts using its own contributor database, as described in RB2B's privacy policy. We receive only the identification results RB2B provides to us under our plan.

How we use information

• To respond to your inquiries and operate the matching and introduction process you ask for.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and its content.
• To understand aggregate usage so we can make the Site more useful.
• To comply with law and protect our rights and the rights of others.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How information is shared

• Service providers. We share information with the vendors that run the Site: PostHog (analytics), RB2B (visitor identification), Google (forms and internal documents), and our hosting provider. They process information on our behalf under their own terms.
• Advisors, at your request. If you ask to be introduced or matched, we share the information you provided for that purpose with the advisor or advisors involved, so they can respond to you.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Valora, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. If Valora is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

Retention

We keep contact and readiness-check information for as long as needed to respond to you and operate the service, and analytics data for the retention period configured in our analytics tools. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for these purposes, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for the information we hold, including limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights

Regardless of where you live in the United States, you may ask us to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; or delete your information. Email barot@valorahq.com with your request. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (and in any event within 45 days).

State privacy rights. If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, such as California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or others, you may have additional rights, including the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the right to delete and correct it, the right to opt out of its sale or sharing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. As stated above, we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. Do Not Track. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. You can limit analytics collection through the browser and cookie controls described in our Cookie and Analytics Notice.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Visitors from outside the United States

The Site is intended for United States users. If you visit from elsewhere, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, whose laws may differ from yours.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time and will revise the effective date when we do. Material changes take effect when posted unless stated otherwise.
